6 cup crisp rice cereal
1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup liquid sweetener (honey, corn syrup, brown rice syrup)

Steps:

  • Melt the peanut butter, sugar, and liquid sweetener in a pot. Add the crisp rice cereal and stir until evenly coated. Spread in a dish to desired thickness and let cool. (Optional: drizzle/cover with chocolate.)

Here's an easy homemade way to get the same great flavors of a favorite peanut candy bar.

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon water
1 egg
3 cups miniature marshmallows
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 bag (10 oz) peanut butter chips
2 cups crisp rice cereal
2 cups salted peanuts

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, stir cookie mix, oil, water and egg until soft dough forms. Press dough in pan using floured fingers.
  • Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until set. Immediately sprinkle marshmallows over crust; bake 1 to 2 minutes longer or until marshmallows begin to puff.
  • In 4-quart saucepan, cook corn syrup, butter, vanilla and chips over low heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted. Remove from heat; stir in cereal and nuts. Immediately spoon cereal mixture evenly over marshmallows. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm. For bars, cut into 9 rows by 4 rows.

1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
7 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup salted peanuts

Steps:

  • Line 2 large cookie sheets with waxed paper or foil.
  • In 5-quart heavy Dutch oven, heat corn syrup to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in peanut butter until melted. Stir in cookie mix until well blended. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. (Candy thermometer should read 160°F.)
  • Immediately remove from heat. With wooden spoon or rubber spatula, gently fold in cereal and peanuts until well coated.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Flatten each cookie slightly with fingertips. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store covered at room temperature.

3/4 cup roasted peanuts, ground
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 -1 1/2 sheet shortcrust pastry

Steps:

  • Combine ground roasted peanuts, sesame seeds, peanut butter, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir well then refrigerate.
  • Cut pastry into 2'' or 2-1/2'' circles.
  • To each circle add 1 teaspoon of filling; fold into half and pinch the sides to enclose the filling.
  • Repeat until all ingredients are used up.
  • Deep-fry the peanut puffs in oil over medium heat until the pastry is golden.
  • Dish out and place on crushed kitchen paper to drain the oil.
  • When puffs are completely cool store in air-tight containers.

1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened, divided
3 cups miniature marshmallows
2 cups peanut butter chips
2/3 cup corn syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups crisp rice cereal
2 cups salted peanuts

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter. Press into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. , Sprinkle with marshmallows and return to the oven for 3-5 minutes or until marshmallows begin to melt; set aside. , In a large saucepan, cook and stir the peanut butter chips, corn syrup, vanilla and remaining butter until smooth. Remove from the heat; stir in cereal and peanuts. Pour over prepared crust, spreading to cover. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
