CUBE STEAK AND GRAVY (CROCK POT)

Steps:

• Salt and pepper the steak to your liking, then dredge in the flour.
• Fry steak until brown and place in crock pot.
• Add water, soup, and gravy mix.
• Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
• Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.

SLOW COOKER CUBE STEAK WITH GRAVY

Steps:

• Heat oil in a skillet over med/high heat.
• Put flour, salt and pepper in a zip lock bag and mix well. Add the cube steaks one at a time, close bag, and shake to coat in flour.
• Add steaks to hot oil and brown on each side. Transfer steaks to the slow cooker.
• Add sliced onion rings and 2 cups of water to the crockpot as well.
• Cook on low setting for 8 hours.
• Mix together gravy mix, onion soup mix and the cream of mushroom soup with the last 1 cup of water. Add this to the slow cooker and mix gently so you do not tear up the steaks.
• Cook the cube steaks and gravy for 3 minutes longer. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.

CROCKPOT CUBE STEAK

Steps:

• Combine the cans of cream of mushroom condensed soup with the Lipton Onion Soup Mix and ground black pepper (plus water if desired) in your crock pot. Mix until well combined.
• Layer the cube steaks over the 'gravy' mixture adding one at a time. Top each cube steak with some of the sliced onions as you add them, staggered in shingle-fashion, over the cream of mushroom base. Top with optional sliced mushrooms (white mushrooms or cremini) if desired.
• Set your crock pot to high and cook for 6 hours. Serve over rice, potatoes, or pasta.

CUBE STEAKS WITH GRAVY

Steps:

• Place flour in shallow dish. Add steaks, 1 or 2 at a time, and turn to coat completely. , In a skillet, cook steaks in oil until lightly browned on each side. Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker. Add the onion and 2 cups water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender. , In a bowl, whisk together gravy mixes with remaining water. Add to slow cooker; cook 30 minutes longer. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.
