- Gently mix together your soups (condensed with nothing added), green beans (drained) and milk until well blended
- Spray your crock pot lightly
- Pour your green bean mixture into your crock pot and spread evenly
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours
- Sprinkle your French fried onions on top before serving
SLOW COOKER GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
I was on a search for a slow cooker green bean casserole to take to a friend's house for Thanksgiving dinner. I couldn't find one I liked, so I mixed and matched and came up with this one! It was so good that I didn't have any leftovers. Happily fed 8 adults and 3 children. Use different spices for your taste! I added some onion powder and Italian seasonings. After you serve, leave the lid off of the slow cooker so the french-fried onions remaining crispy on top. You could also use cream of mushroom soup in place of the cream of chicken.

- Cover green beans with sauce. Do not stir.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

- Stir together milk, pepper, salt, and soup in a slow cooker. Add mushrooms and half of the beans; toss to coat. Add remaining beans; toss to coat. Cover and cook on high until beans are tender, about 3 hours.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high. Add red onion to skillet; cook, stirring often, until just starting to soften, about 3 minutes. Stir in fried onions and cheese. Remove from heat. Place green beans on a serving platter; sprinkle with onion mixture.
