Steps:
- First, start by chopping and dicing your fresh strawberries and adding them to a bowl.
- Next, add flour, sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl with the strawberries. Mix well to coat the strawberries in the mixture.
- Grease your crockpot with non stick cooking spray.
- In a separate bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Whisk the ingredients together to break up any lumps from the flour.
- Slice your butter in thin slices and set aside for now.
- Next, add the strawberries to the crockpot then top them off evenly with the flour mixture.
- Add the thinly sliced pieces of butter to the top of the flour mixture.
- Double up a piece of paper towel and cover the crockpot with it. Then close the lid. The paper towel will catch any condensation.
- Next, cook the strawberry cobbler in the crockpot for 3-3.5 hours or until golden. Alternatively, you can cook it on low for 6-6.5 hours. Change out the paper towel as needed.
- Finally, serve warm with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!

SLOW COOKER BERRY COBBLER
This colorful cobbler is very juicy, but the sweetened berry "sauce" is so delicious it's worth spooning up. If you don't have time to make the sour cream topping, a sprinkle of confectioners' sugar or a dollop of vanilla yogurt works well, too.

Steps:
- For the filling: Butter the sides and bottom of the insert of a 6-quart slow cooker. Whisk together the cornstarch, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons water in a small bowl. Add the mixture to the insert, add the berries and granulated sugar and toss.
- For the biscuit topping: Whisk together the flour, 2 tablespoons of the granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add the butter and rub the mixture together with your fingers so that it forms a coarse meal with some pea-sized lumps. Add the milk and stir with a wooden spoon to form a wet dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough on top of the berry mixture. Combine the remaining 1 tablespoon granulated sugar and the cinnamon and sprinkle over the dough. Cover the slow cooker and set to high for 3 to 4 hours. The cobbler should be bubbly and the biscuits should be cooked through. Let rest for 20 minutes before serving.
- For the sour cream topping: Meanwhile, combine the heavy cream, sour cream and confectioners' sugar in a medium bowl and beat with an electric mixture until the mixture forms medium peaks.
- Spoon the cobbler into bowls and top with the whipped sour cream topping.

CROCK POT CHERRY COBBLER
The cobbler takes its name from the biscuit dough crust on top - it is rough looking or 'cobbled'. The Dictionary of Americanisms traces the first instance of the word cobbler (as it applies to a pie dish) in print to 1859: "Cobbler...a sort of pie, baked in a pot lined with dough of great thickness, upon which fruit is placed." This is a C21st version of the cobbler, adapted from Betty Crocker's 'Slow Cooker Cookbook'. A delicious cobbler which you can make in minutes and have ready just when you need it without heating up the kitchen, or having to check it in the oven when you're preparing or enjoying your main course. Using your crock pot for desserts is a fabulous way to simplify meal preparation, particularly when you have guests. This recipe can easily be varied to make other cobblers: using berries, peaches or apples, or by combining perhaps raspberries and strawberries or apples and peaches.
