4 -6 steaks (or a hunk of tri-tip you cut into 4-6 steaks)
2 tablespoons A.1. Original Sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup white wine

Steps:

  • Combine the A-1 steak sauce and the dijon mustard in a little bowl. Paint the sauce mixture on all sides of each piece of meat. Place the meat into your crockpot. Pour in the 1/4 cup of white wine.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

1 onion, chopped
6 carrots, peeled and sliced into 1 inch pieces
2 pounds boneless round steak
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
¾ cup water

Steps:

  • Place the potatoes, onion, and carrots in slow cooker. Cut steak into six pieces, then place the meat on top of vegetables. In a mixing bowl, combine the soup mix, soup, and water; pour over beef.
  • Cover, and cook on Low for 7 to 10 hours.

1-1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
2 Tbsp. oil
1 pkg. (16 oz.) baby carrots
1 large onion, sliced
1/3 cup fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth
2 Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
1 tub (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA 1/3 Less Fat than Cream Cheese

Steps:

  • Sprinkle meat with pepper; press into meat with back of spoon. Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add meat, in batches; cook 2 to 3 min. on each side or until browned on both sides. Drain.
  • Place carrots and onions in slow cooker. Top with meat. Combine broth and mustard; pour over meat. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 3-/2 to 4 hours). Remove meat from slow cooker; cover to keep warm.
  • Whisk reduced-fat cream cheese until smooth; stir into slow-cooker until blended. Return meat to slow cooker. Cover with lid; cook on HIGH 10 min. or until heated through.

This recipe uses round steak which is economical but a bit tough. The long cooking time in the Crock Pot helps to soften the meat up until it is fork tender. If you wanted you could add carrots and onions, but I just did potatoes with this one. I found the idea for this recipe on a Crock Pot blog, but I didn't have all the right ingredients, so I changed it up for what I did have. This is really good, and so simple to prepare, you can have Sunday dinner in the middle of the week!

2 tablespoons steak sauce (A-1)
2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
4 -6 medium potatoes, scrubbed and quartered
2 1/2-3 lbs round steaks, trimmed and cut in 4-5 pieces
1/2 cup beef broth

Steps:

  • Put scrubbed and quartered potatoes in Crock Pot.
  • Mix mustard and A-1 Sauce.
  • Paint meat with A-1 Sauce mixture.
  • At this point you could put the whole thing in the fridge overnight and put it on to cook in the morning.
  • When ready to cook, pour the beef broth over the top of the meat.
  • Cook on low 6-8 hours, or high for 4-6. If you start with frozen meat, it will probably take the longer amount of time. I forgot to turn mine on until late, so I cooked it on high 2 hours, and then turned it back to low for another 3 hours and it was perfect.

3/4 cup beer
2/3 cup KRAFT Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce, divided
1 Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
4 onions, sliced
2 lb. boneless beef chuck or blade roast
2 tsp. cornstarch

Steps:

  • Mix beer, 1/2 cup barbecue sauce and mustard. Place onions in slow cooker; top with meat and sauce mixture. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 5 to 6 hours). Remove meat and onions from slow cooker, reserving liquid in slow cooker. Cover meat and onions to keep warm. Whisk cornstarch and remaining barbecue sauce in small bowl until blended; whisk into liquid in slow cooker. Cook, covered, on HIGH 10 min. or until thickened.
  • Drizzle meat and onions lightly with sauce. Serve with remaining sauce.
