GHOULISHLY GOOD HALLOWEEN SNACK MIX
A sweet and salty snack mix that is perfect for Halloween!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 255 degrees F (124 degrees C).
- Combine corn snacks, cheese crackers, popcorn, and pretzel sticks in a large roasting pan.
- Bring brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract and baking soda. Pour the syrup over the snack mixture in the roasting pan; stir to coat.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring to coat every 15 minutes.
- Line a countertop with waxed paper. Spread snack mix into a single layer on top.
- Place candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Stir until smooth and place a dot of the melted candy on the back of a candy eyeball; attach to a corn snack. Repeat with remaining eyeballs.
- Transfer snack mix to a large bowl. Stir in candy corn and peanut butter candy pieces.

- In a large saucepan, bring the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Spread cereal in a large roasting pan. Steps:
- Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Dry the chickpeas thoroughly by spreading them on a large plate and patting them dry with kitchen towels. Transfer to a bowl and toss with 1 tbsp of oil, 1 tsp of the spice blend. If using, the salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the chickpeas are evenly coated, transfer them to a baking sheet and spread in a single layer. Bake on oven' s middle rack for 25-35 mins or until golden. Shake the sheet midway to toast other side.
- Reduce heat to 300.
- Arrange pumpkin seeds on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- .after toasted place pumpkin seeds in a fry pan over med heat with remaining tbsp oil. Stir 7-10 mins and add remaining seasoning mix.
- Cook until crispy.
- Transfer the seeds to the serving bowl. Add cranberries and pistachios and toss well.

My kid's teacher asked for 'non-sweet treats' for a Halloween party. A search of Allrecipes showed there were very few like that, so I took some party mix recipes and made my own. Pretzel sticks = wooden stakes. Animal-shaped crackers = wild beasts. Toasted rice cereal = tombstones.
