SUPER STUFFED BAKED APPLES A LA MODE

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Sprinkle cored apples with lemon juice. Mix next 7 ingredients and over-stuff apples. Bake 20 minutes in a small oven safe dish. Transfer apples to small bowls with a spoon and top with ice cream and whipped cream.
EASIEST EVER BAKED STUFFED APPLES

- Heat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Trim the tops and scoop out the center and the seeds of each apple and rub the edges of the trimmed fruit with the lemon. In a medium bowl, combine the butter, cereal, sugar, and walnuts. Fill the apples with the cereal mixture. Set the apples upright in muffin tins and bake until tender and bubbly, about 20 minutes. Transfer to serving dishes, top with ice cream and serve hot.
DATE AND APPLE SQUARES
This was an adopted recipe from Recipe*zaar I made these delicious squares last night, they are really moist and tasty! I did change the recipe and I am happy with the results. I used butter, my two apples measured 1 1/2 cups.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Blend butter and sugar, then beat in egg and vanilla until mixture is light and fluffy
- Stir in apples, dates and nuts. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- Gradually stir flour mixture into the fruit mixture. The batter will be very stiff, but it will mix together nicely, keep stirring!
- Spread into a greased 9"x9" pan and bake until golden brown. 30 - 45 minutes (I used and 8" pan and it required 45 minutes to bake.

BAKED STUFFED APPLES
Combining the best of two recipes gave us this delicious fall dessert. I served the stuffed apples in a waffle bowl. Serve warm with ice cream or half-and-half if desired, spooning the sauce from the baking dish over the ice cream.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix cranberries, almonds, butter, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a bowl. Fill each apple cavity evenly with the mixture and place in a baking dish. Add water to the leftover filling and pour around apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven, basting twice with the liquid from the baking dish, until apples are tender, 50 to 60 minutes. Serve warm.

DATES 'N STUFF APPLES
Baked apples that you can bake along side your pork roast or chicken...or anything else or nothing else. A good old fashioned, not microwaved, apple dessert that the whole family will love.

Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine dates, granola, walnuts, sugar, 1 Tbsp of orange juice, margarine, lemon juice, orange peel, and cinnamon; set aside.
- Core apples, set in 9 inch round baking dish.
- Fill cavities with date mixture, dividing equally.
- Combine remaining 1/4 cup orange juice with water, pour around apples in dish.
- Cover with foil, bake in 350 oven 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and continue baking about 15 minutes longer, or until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Serve warm or cold drizzled with maple syrup.
