DENNY'S-STYLE FRENCH TOAST
I do not remember where I got this recipe, but my husband says it tastes just as good as what he had at Denny's. I am just amazed at all of the great reviews on this recipe!! My family loves it, so I thought I would share it here and I'm so glad I did because it seems you all love it just as much!!! Thanks to all of you who have tried it!

Steps:
- Mix together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt& cinnamon.
- Heat a large skillet, or griddle.
- When the skillet is hot, add 1 tablespoon butter.
- If the butter smokes, your pan is too hot; turn down the heat.
- Dip each slice of bread into the batter for 30 seconds on each side.
- Let some of the batter drip off, then put in skillet.
- Cook each slice 1 1/2-2 minutes per side until each side is golden brown.
- Add more butter, if necessary, to cook all of the slices.
- To serve, put on plate, dust with powdered sugar. Serve with butter & hot syrup.

- In a large bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon until well-combined.
- Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the pan. If it starts to smoke, reduce the heat further.
- Dip the bread slices into the custard for 30 seconds on each side. Let the excess custard drip off the bowl.
- Place the bread in the skillet. Cook each side for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until golden brown. Grease the pan with more butter if needed.
- Dust French toast with powdered sugar and top with butter and syrup. Serve and enjoy!

- Break the four eggs into a bowl and whisk with the flour until you have a really smooth paste. Once there are no lumps, whisk in the powder sugar, vanilla, salt and finally the milk.
- Once your pan is up to temperature take your bread slice and complete submerge it in the batter. Lift it out and hold it until it stops dripping. Then gently place it into your frying pan.
- After 1-minute flip the bread and cook for a further minute before transferring to a wire rack whilst you cook the rest.
