Number Of Ingredients 7

3 cups flour
1-1/2 cup splenda
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
6 large eggs
8 ounces sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. Grease and flour bread pan. 3. Combine flour, splenda and baking soda in large bowl. 4. Cut in butter with fork or pastry blender, until crumbly. 5. Combine eggs, sour cream and vanilla. 6. Add 1/4 of egg mixture to flour mixture. Beat on low until blended. 7. Beat on medium until smooth. 8. Repeat with remaining egg mixture, 3 times. 9. Pour into pan. 10. Bake for 1 hour. 11. Cool for 10 minutes.

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3 large eggs, room temperature
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1-1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the applesauce, vanilla and lemon zest. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture just until blended., Transfer to an 8x4-in. loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
