Cola Pot Roast, seasoned with easy pantry staples, is tender and savory with a touch of sweetness from a surprise ingredient - a can of coke!

3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
3 carrots (, cut into 2" chunks)
2 stalks celery (, chopped)
2 russet potatoes (, peeled and cut into 2" chunks)
1 packet dry onion soup mix ((1 ounce))
10.75 can condensed cream of mushroom soup ((10.75 ounces))
12 ounces Coca-Cola soda

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  • Season the chuck roast with the Kosher salt and pepper.
  • Add oil to a large pot on high heat and sear the beef on both sides, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Add the carrots, celery and potatoes around the pot roast.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and soda then pour it over the chuck roast.
  • Cover and cook for 3 - 3 1/2 hours until tender.

Seriously, this works! A roast, soup mix, and a can of coke are all you need for a moist and flavorful oven-roasted masterpiece.

3 1/2 pounds beef roast (sirloin tip, round, or boneless chuck)
1 package onion soup mix
1 can coca-cola

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place the roast in a baking dish. Sprinkle the onion soup evenly over the meat. Pour the cola over the top. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil. Place in oven and bake at 300 degrees F for 3-4 hours or until tender.

Diet coke chicken is one of Slimming World's most popular dishes, and I thought I'd give it a whirl in the slow-cooker with beef- it's good!Syn-free

Number Of Ingredients 14

500 g lean (diced stewing steak)
1 red onion (finely diced)
2 cloves garlic (finely diced)
1 red (1 yellow, and 1 green pepper, chopped into chunks)
1 stick celery (finely chopped)
2 carrots (finely chopped)
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp dried (mixed herbs)
330 ml can diet coke
1 beef oxo cube
Frylight

Steps:

  • Gently fry the onion in Frylight until softened, add the garlic and the beef, and fry until beef is slightly browned.
  • Add all of the other ingredients, crumble in the stock cube, and bring to a simmer. Season.
  • Transfer the mix to your slow cooker, and cook on high for 6 hours, or low for 10-12 hours

This sandwich is delicious. I found this recipe in one of my old Taste of Home magazines. This is a crock pot recipe..so delicious! If you want to lighten it up, use diet coke.. I usually double this recipe for leftovers. Or when taking for pot - luck

3/4 c cola
1/4 c worcestershire sauce
2 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1 Tbsp beef bouillon granules
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, optional
2 lb rump roast or bottom round
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 c ketchup
8 kaiser rolls, onion rolls are good also

Steps:

  • 1. Gather ingredients. I used almost a 4 pound rump. So I doubled the ingredients.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, combine cola, worcestershire sauce, garlic, vinegar, bouillon and seasonings; set aside.
  • 3. In a nonstick skillet, brown meat in oil on all sides.
  • 4. Place onion in 3 quart. slow cooker. Top with meat. pour half of cola mixture over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 6 - 8 hours. Mine us usually tender after 6 hrs. Cover and refrigerate remaining cola mixture.
  • 5. Remove meat from cooking liquid and cool. Strain cooking liquid, reserving onions and discarding the liquid.
  • 6. When meat is cool enough to handle, shred with two forks.
  • 7. Return meat and onions to slow cooker.
  • 8. In a small saucepan, combine ketchup and reserved cola mixture; heat through. Pour over meat mixture and heat through, serve on rolls.
  • 9. When I poured the sauce over the meat, I added about 1/2 tsp of garlic powder and 1/2 tsp of onion powder.. These are delicious...Enjoy!!

1 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 pounds sirloin steak

Steps:

  • Whisk together cola, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, horseradish, garlic, and black pepper in a bowl and pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add steak, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Remove steak from resealable bag and discard remaining marinade.
  • Cook steak on the preheated grill to desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
