Dijon Mustard Salad Dressing image

Classic Dijon mustard vinaigrette is easy to make in minutes with only four ingredients. Enjoy this zesty dressing and marinade on salads, vegetables, sandwiches, and more.

1 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
3 Tablespoons olive oil
salt (to taste)

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a small jar with a tight fitting lid such as a mason jar or other reusable jar.
  • Shake well and serve on your favorite salad or use as a marinade.

This a wonderful recipe taken from Jean Carnahan's Recipes from the Governer's Mansion. My friends beg me to make it whenever they come over for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 -2 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 drops hot sauce
12 tablespoons oil

Steps:

  • Combine mustard and vinegar. Add remaining ingredients except oil. Mix until well blended. Add oil and incorporate one tablespoon at a time. Chill. Keeps several weeks. Use on salad greens.
