Number Of Ingredients 8

Ingredients

2/3 C. shortening or butter
1/2 C. creamy peanut butter
1 C. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. vanilla
1 1/2 C. flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt

Steps:

blend shortening and peanut butter well. gradually add brown sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. add egg and vanilla, beat well. blend in dry ingredients, gradually, mixiung thoroughly. Shape into balls (rounded tsp). roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 375 for 8 mins. remove from oven and top with hershey kiss, pressing down firmly until cookie cracks around edge. return to oven and back for 2 - 5 mins more, until golden brown.
