DONAR KEBAB SAUCES (WHITE AND RED)

I came up with these quick sauces to top off Donar Kebabs (gyros), similar to what you get in Europe. There's a white sauce similar to an aioli and a red chili sauce similar to harissa, but these use shortcuts to cut down on prep time since you're also cooking up the donar kebabs. I make these to go with my recipe Recipe #292013 .

Ingredients

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chili sauce
3 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (can adjust for personal taste)

Steps:

For the white sauce, mix all the ingredients till well combined in a small bowl.
For the red sauce, mix all the ingredients till well combined in a seperate small bowl.
Drizzle over the donar kebab or gyro.

Blend yogurt, garlic and lemon juice to make this delicious sauce. It's the perfect accompaniment to our doner kebab recipe for a takeaway classic at home

Ingredients

3 garlic cloves , minced to a paste
150ml pot of plain yogurt
1 lemon , juiced
1 tsp dried mint (optional)

Steps:

Simply mix all the ingredients together and season with salt and pepper - add a splash of water if you want to make it a drizzly consistency. The mint is optional but goes nicely with lamb. The sauce can be made the day before.

Doner kebab red Sauce sauce is often just called hot sauce. Doner kebab is a dish in which lamb, chicken, or mutton meat that has been chopped up with onions and tomatoes is served on small pieces of pita bread or served in a sandwich topped with lettuce and yogurt sauce. The meat used to make the doner kebab can be cooked over charcoal, resulting in some blackening. It's common for people who eat this dish to use hot sauces containing spices like cumin seeds, cayenne pepper, turmeric powder, and black pepper or garlic paste.

Ingredients

1 Red onion
2 hot chilies
2 cloves Garlic
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp Sundried Tomato puree
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp Chopped tomatoes
3 tablespoon olive oil
1 tbsp salt (According to your taste)

Steps:

Cut the onion and garlic into small pieces, slice chili. Keep it aside.
In a pan, heat some oil and fry the onion till it becomes light brown.
Now add chili, garlic, salt, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, and lemon juice.
Add sugar after a minute or so is done frying and cook it fully.
Now add tomato puree, chopped tomatoes into the pan. Cook on medium heat for about five minutes.
Add the Doner kebab red Sauce chili sauce in a jar and leave it to cool down.
Put the jar in a fridge for half an hour. Before serving, garnish with coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds.
Your Doner kebab red Sauce chili sauce is ready.
Enjoy with Pizza and other fast food
