- Place green beans into a large skillet and cover with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until beans start to soften, about 5 minutes. Drain water. Add butter to green beans; cook and stir until butter is melted, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Cook and stir garlic with green beans until garlic is tender and fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes. Season with lemon pepper and salt.

- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Lightly spray a baking sheet or tray with cooking oil spray.
- Arrange the green beans in one layer on baking sheet. Drizzle with oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic and parmesan. Toss beans to evenly coat.
- Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through cooking time, until fork tender.
- Remove from oven, season with extra salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle over with parsley and serve.

- Heat a large pan over high heat. When it's hot, add the oil and green beans. Cook the green beans, tossing occasionally, until soft and starting to blister and turn black in a few spots, about 5 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 450°F. Combine green beans, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl, tossing to coat. Spread in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven until green beans are tender, 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
