EASY SKILLET RAVIOLI



Easy Skillet Ravioli image

This is such an easy way to dress up ravioli and marinara sauce! Quick to make and the whole family will enjoy

1 (26 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
2 1/4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (26 ounce) jar garden vegetable spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup half-and-half or 1/4 cup evaporated milk

Steps:

  • In a 12 inch nonstick skillet, bring ravioli, water and salt to a boil over high heat.
  • Continue boiling, stirring gently to separate ravioli;5 minutes.
  • Stir in Pasta Sauce.
  • Cook covered over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until ravioli are tender.
  • Stir in cream and heat through.

Beefy Skillet Ravioli image

Basic recipe is from Hunt's - I always add sauteed diced onions and minced garlic with the ground beef for added flavor as well as some dried Italian seasoning. Sometimes I also add sliced fresh mushrooms and/or diced bell peppers. I have also used frozen ravioli, as it is cheaper and it works fine too. Feel free to add or substitute any items you like or have on hand, the recipe is pretty basic and lends itself to tweaking.

1 lb ground beef
26 ounces spaghetti sauce
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
9 ounces cheese ravioli, refrigerated
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Cook beef in large skillet over medium-high heat 7 minutes, or until browned and crumbled, stirring frequently; drain.
  • Stir in pasta sauce and undrained tomatoes; blend well. Bring to boil.
  • Add ravioli to skillet; spoon meat sauce over ravioli until well coated. Reduce heat; cover and simmer on medium heat 15 minutes or until ravioli is tender.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and parsley.

Here's what you need: unsalted butter, medium yellow onion, garlic, McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Salad Supreme, crushed tomato, fresh basil, cheese ravioli, shredded mozzarella cheese, bread crumbs

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Salad Supreme, divided
1 can crushed tomato
¼ cup fresh basil, divided
2 packages cheese ravioli, cooked according to package instructions
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Melt the butter in a medium pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook, stirring frequently, until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Salad Supreme, the crushed tomatoes, and half of the basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the sauce is slightly thickened, 5 minutes.
  • In a large ovenproof skillet, layer ⅓ of the sauce, ½ of the ravioli, and ⅓ of the mozzarella, then sprinkle with 1 tablespoon McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Salad Supreme. Top with another ⅓ of the sauce, the remaining ravioli, and another ⅓ of the mozzarella. Finish with the remaining sauce, remaining mozzarella, the bread crumbs, and remaining tablespoon of McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Salad Supreme.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread crumbs are light golden brown and the sauce is bubbly. Garnish with the remaining basil.
  • Enjoy!
