Ingredients

1/3 cup olive oil, plus
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
3/4 teaspoon pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 teaspoon dijon-style mustard
1/2 cup red wine vinegar, plus
2 teaspoons red wine vinegar

Steps:

Mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, basil, pepper, salt, onion powder and mustard.
Pour in the vinegar, and mix vigorously until well blended.
Store tightly covered at room temperature (Does not need to be refrigerated).

This is the house dressing for Il Forno New York Pizza & Pasta in Lawrenceville GA. It is very herby yet incredeibly creamy. I made it using a base recipe found on this site, so, I thought I would return the favor and post it here. It is not exactly like the Mellow Mushroom's but it is pretty good. Sorry for the large amount but I go through a gallon a week of this.

Ingredients

4 cups extra virgin olive oil
3 ounces granulated garlic
4 1/2 ounces dried oregano
4 ounces basil
3 ounces pepper
1 ounce salt
2 1/2 ounces onion powder
8 ounces spicy brown mustard
8 ounces red wine vinegar
1 quart mayonnaise
1 1/2 ounces white pepper

Steps:

Mix all ingredients together.
Let stand in fridge for at least 24 hours before intended use.

The recipe I found for this dressing which is all over the web isn't even close, so I went to the kitchen and started tinkering while the memory of the delicious chef salad I had at Mellow Mushroom last night is fresh in my mind. Here's my best effort.

Ingredients

1 egg yolk
1/3 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
3/4-1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon msg
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cups soybean oil
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Steps:

Put all ingredients except oil and parsley in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth.
With motor running, drizzle in oil through feed tube.
Stir in parsley by hand.
