HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, 2 minutes. , In a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish, layer with a third of the potatoes, half of the hot dogs and half of the onion. Repeat layers. Top with remaining potatoes. Pour white sauce over all., Bake, covered, for 1 hour. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese. Bake until potatoes are tender, 10-15 minutes longer.

- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the bottom of a 9x11 inch baking dish.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until crumbly and beginning to brown; drain. Stir the cream cheese into the cooked sausage.
- Roll the dough from one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without separating. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. This is a delicious casserole recipe I got from an old Edna Staebler cookbook a long time ago. I could eat the whole thing myself, although it is supposed to serve 3. You can double it for more people with no problem and they will all leave the table smacking their lips!

Steps:
- Combine cheese, flour, and salt.
- Stir this mixture, along with the milk and butter into the noodles.
- Pour the noodle mixture into a buttered shallow pan.
- Combine the sliced frankfurters with the brown sugar, miracle whip and mustard.
- Spoon evenly over top of the noodles.
- Bake at 375*F for 20 minutes.
- Recipe can be doubled very successfully.

- Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain well.
- Thinly slice four of the frankfurters; set aside.
- Cook onion and green pepper in butter till tender but not brown.
- Blend in flour, worcestershire, mustard, 1/4 teaspoons salt and dash of pepper; add milk all at once.
- Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in the sliced franks, cooked macaroni, and cottage cheese; mix well.
- Turn into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
- Bake, uncovered at 350 for 20 minutes, stirring once.
- Cut remaining 2 franks diagonally into thirds; arrange atop casserole.
- Bake till heated through, 15 minutes more.
