I'm saving this on 'Zaar...a dijon viniagrette suited to our tastes. Serve on a bed of greens w/ sliced cherry tomatoes,shredded carrots,thinly sliced red onions, sliced red pepper, and dried cranberries. To save time, I sometimes pick up a package of fresh salad fixins' from the store.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 garlic clove, pressed
1 shallot, finely chopped
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 tablespoon honey

Steps:

  • In a bowl add garlic, shallot, mustard, and vinegar.
  • Whisk all together until blended.
  • Add olive oil in a steady stream while whisking continuously.
  • Add honey, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Enjoy w/your salad.

This simple Dijon vinaigrette will become your new go-to salad dressing.

2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 to 2 teaspoons chopped fresh tarragon, optional

Steps:

  • Whisk the vinegar, mustard, 1 tablespoon water, 3/4 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a small bowl. Gradually whisk in the olive oil, starting with a few drops and then adding the rest in a steady stream to make a smooth, slightly thick dressing. Stir in the tarragon if using.
