Steps:
- In a jar, break up the mint leaves with the back of a wooden spoon or pestle to release the mint flavor.
- Add the brown sugar, lemon juice, cranberry juice, rum, and mineral water. Stir to combine.

Steps:
- Add fresh cranberries, mint and agave to the bottom of a large pitcher. Using a muddler (or the back of a spoon) muddle the fruit and herbs together. (basically your smashing them)
- Next add in the lime juice, cranberry juice and rum. Stir around to mix everything.
- Finish off with the club soda.
- Stir and serve!
- Garnish with more mint and fresh whole cranberries.

- Combine the cranberry juice, agave and mint in a medium saucepan over medium heat just until it comes to a boil. Whisk to combine, then cover and steep until the cranberry juice tastes like mint, 3 to 5 minutes. If not sweet enough for your liking, add a bit more syrup. Strain out the mint and pour the liquid into a pitcher.
- Stir the rum and lime juice into the pitcher and refrigerate until cold.
- To serve, add 3 to 4 mint leaves, a few cranberries and ice to lowball or wine glasses. Pour in the chilled drink, then top off with a splash of sparkling water or ginger ale. Enjoy!

- In a small saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar and water and cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved and cranberries begin to burst.
- Use a spoon to mash the berries lightly to release their flavor and remove from heat. Set aside and cool to room temperature.
- In two tall cocktail glasses, divide the mint leaves evenly. (About 10 per glass)
- Place two teaspoons of sugar in each glass and use a muddler to smash the mint leaves with the sugar about 5 times.
- Add 2 teaspoons of lime juice in each glass.
- Pour 2 ounces of cranberry syrup in each glass, adding a few smashed berries if desired.
- Add 2 ounces of white rum to each glass.
- Fill each glass to the top with ice and top with club soda.
- Garnish with additional fresh or smashed cranberries, fresh lime and mint sprigs.
- Serve with a straw or stir stick so your guests can stir before enjoying.

A side note: Club soda and soda water are almost identical and sometimes club soda is just another name for soda. The two are interchanged in drinks all the time. Club soda is often contains additives such as table salt and occasionally light flavorings. The decision between the two waters is usually a matter of taste and availability.

Steps:
- Put the cranberries, sugar and water in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. Lower the heat to low and continue to cook for about 10 minutes, remove from heat before the berries start bursting. Should you have some of the cransberries burst, don't fret over it. Cool completely.
- Once the berry mixture has cooled, strain and discard the berries.
- Put about 10 leaves of mint and one tablespoon lime juice into each glass. With the back of a wooden spoon or a muddler mash the mint.
- Add ice to each glass and pour 2 ounces of the cranberry syrup and 2 oz. rum into each glass.
- Top off each glass with soda water and float a few fresh cranberries a garnish.
