ITALIAN BAKED FISH FILLETS



Italian Baked Fish Fillets image

Italian-style dinner ready in just 25 minutes! Enjoy these white fish fillets baked with bread crumbs.

1/2 cup zesty Italian dressing
3/4 cup plain, Italian style or garlic & herb bread crumbs
1 lb fresh or frozen white fish fillets (1/2 inch thick), thawed

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F. Lightly spray 15x10x1-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Pour dressing into shallow dish. Place bread crumbs in another shallow dish. Dip fish into dressing; coat evenly with bread crumbs. Place in pan.
  • Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.

It is only proper that I continue to post on my love affair with baking individually frozen fish filets for dinner.

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 to 5 Frozen Fish Filets
1 - 1 1/2 Cups of Italian Style Bread Crumbs
3 to 4 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
2 to 3 Pinches of Salt
Fresh Ground Black Pepper

Steps:

  • Start with oven preheated 450 Degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Drizzle half of the Olive Oil into a 9 inch x 12 inch Pyrex Casserole Dish.
  • Place the Frozen Fish Filets in the Pyrex Casserole Dish Pyrex Casserole Dish. The size of the Filets will determine if you are able to place 4 - 5 filets. You can always use a second oven shallow casserole dish
  • Drizzle the remaining Olive Oil over the Filets.
  • Sprinkle the Salt over the Fish Filets (optional).
  • Season fish filets with Black Pepper.
  • Coat the fish filets with the Italian Style Bread Crumbs until you have evenly covered the tops of the filets. I typically sift / sprinkle the bread crumbs directly from the container onto the fish..
  • Place the uncovered Pyrex Casserole Dish on the middle rack in the oven and baked for 25 minutes.
  • When 25 minutes have passed, remove the Pyrex Casserole Dish from the oven and serve.

1-1/4 cups seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Place fillets on a greased baking sheet; season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pat onto fillets. Bake 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
