12 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1 1/2 sticks, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 cups soft caramel candy
1 ½ cups soft caramel candy
¼ cup heavy cream
flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8x8-inch (20x20-cm) baking pan and line with parchment paper.
  • Make the brownies: in a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until thoroughly combined. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, and fold to incorporate. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour half of the batter into the baking pan and spread to cover the bottom. Arrange the caramel candies in a single layer over the batter. Pour the rest of the batter over the caramel candies and spread to cover.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until center is cooked through. Remove the brownies from the oven and let cool.

¾ cup melted butter
½ cup powdered chocolate drink mix (such as Nesquik®)
½ cup Dutch dark chocolate powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 extra large eggs

½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup chocolate chips
½ cup miniature marshmallows
¼ cup caramel sauce
1 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Line a 8x8-inch baking pan with greased parchment paper.
  • Mix sugar, melted butter, chocolate drink mix, dark chocolate powder, and sea salt together in a bowl. Beat eggs and vanilla extract together until smooth. Fold egg mixture into cocoa mixture, incorporating as little air as possible. Sift in flour slowly while stirring until batter is thick and shiny.
  • Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring after each melting, 1 to 3 minutes.

These are the greatest brownies ever. Once you taste them you will never go back. I've tweaked this recipe from Canadian Living's Best Muffins & More cookbook, and now it's at the point where my family and friends have declared me the Goddess of Brownies. One friend even told me these brownies were better than sex. Seriously, they're that good.

1 cup butter, cubed
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whipped cream
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F (200C).
  • Take two saucepans of roughly equal size. Fill the smaller one about halfway with water. Put the other one on top. Put them on a burner and turn it to just below boiling. You could also use a double boiler.
  • Melt butter and chocolate together in the saucepan, and remove saucepans from heat. Dump out the water from the bottom one and dry it out.
  • Stir the granulated sugar into the chocolate mixture until it's mixed nicely. Slowly add the eggs and the vanilla. Next, stir in the flour and salt.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch cake pan and bake for 12 minutes. (The batter won't be cooked through).
  • Meanwhile, in the bottom saucepan, boil the cream, brown sugar, and butter for 3 minutes.
  • Drizzle the brownies with the sugar mixture. Do this slowly or it'll go through the surface of the brownie.
  • Bake the brownies for another 8-10 minutes. They should be golden, not browned.
  • Sprinkle the brownies with the mini chocolate chips (if using,) give them a moment to melt, and then swirl them with the knife.
  • Enjoy!

For the brownies you'll need:
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. salt
1 c. flour
3 Goo Goo Clusters
For the buttercream you'll need:
2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
1 7 oz. jar of marshmallow creme
15 caramels
2 T. heavy cream
2 c. powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees (F). To make the brownies, melt together the butter and unsweetened chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl on high heat for 90 seconds. Remove it from the microwave and stir until all the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth (it smells amazing). Add in the sugar, and stir until it is well combined. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla and salt. Finally, stir in the flour. Put a couple tablespoons of the brownie batter into paper-lined cupcake tins. They should be about half full. Cut each Goo Goo Cluster into four equal pieces and press one piece into the brownie batter. Cover with another tablespoon of batter, so the cupcake tins are about 3/4 of the way full. Bake for 23-25 minutes, until the brownie is set (it'll give a little when you press your finger into the top of the brownie, but it shouldn't be jiggly at all). Let the brownies cool completely before you frost. To make the buttercream, start out by melting the caramels with a splash of heavy cream. Pop them in the microwave for 30 second increments, stirring in between to avoid burning. Once the caramel is melted and smooth (should take 90 seconds to two minutes), set it in the fridge so it cools a bit (the cream will keep it from getting too hard). Whip together the butter and marshmallow cream until fluffy. Once the caramel is cool to the touch, drizzle it into the mixture, with the mixer going on low-medium speed (be sure the caramel isn't hot, otherwise it will melt and ruin the buttercream). Whip the mixture until fluffy. Add the powdered sugar, a half cup at a time, until you've gotten the desired taste and consistency. Pipe a generous heap onto each brownie, and (if you want) top with some peanuts and a drizzle of melted chocolate.
