GRANDMOTHER'S OATMEAL COOKIES
This is the best Oatmeal Cookie I have ever tasted and is my family's favorite. This is a recipe that I have had for years that a friend of mine gave me.

Steps:
- Beat eggs, and stir in raisins and vanilla. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cream together shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in raisins and eggs, then stir in oats and walnuts. Roll dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.

Steps:
- Place raisins in a small bowl. Cover with boiling water; let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Combine the flour, oats, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts and raisins. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Flatten with a glass. Bake at 325° for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are browned. Remove to wire racks.
GRANDMAS OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES
These are the best oatmeal raisin cookies. My grandma makes these all the time and I finally got the recipe and had to post! Perfect with a cold glass of milk! If you bake them on parchment paper, you dont have to spray the baking sheet so you can save calories for more important things! :)

- Cream Crisco, butter, and sugars together in large bowl.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Add flour mixture.
- Add oats, raisins, coconut.
- Bake on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for about 8-10 minutes.
