1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon cornmeal
3 eggs, beaten slightly
1/4 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 9-inch unbaked deep dish pie crust

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar and cornmeal. Add beaten eggs and milk, and mix well. Stir in vinegar and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Pour into the pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn oven temperature down to 325 and bake for additional 40 to 45 minutes or until center of pie is set. Turn oven off and let the pie cool in the oven.

1 cup packed light brown sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked

Steps:

  • In top of double boiler, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to thicken, about 20 minutes.
  • Whisk in egg yolks; continue to cook and stir until filling is thickened.
  • While pudding mixture is cooking, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Remove filling from heat, and stir in butter and vanilla.
  • Pour filling into prepared pie crust. Bake in preheated oven until top begins to brown, about 5 minutes.

½ cup white sugar
½ cup light brown sugar
⅛ cup sifted all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup milk
¼ cup margarine
1 egg yolk
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a saucepan, combine white sugar, brown sugar, flour and salt. Pour in milk and add margarine. Heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and margarine is melted. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, whisk egg yolk, egg and vanilla until smooth. Whisk in cooled sugar mixture. Pour into pie crust.
  • Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, then reduce the temperature to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until top is puffed and edges are golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing.

16 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons vanilla
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons cornmeal
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 frozen unbaked pie crusts

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together all wet ingredients.
  • 2. Mix together all dry ingredients.
  • 3. Mix both bowls together.
  • 4. Pour into pie crusts.
  • 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 tablespoon cornmeal
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1 9" unbaked pie shell

Steps:

  • Cream butter, sugar, vanilla together.
  • Add eggs, cornmeal, evaporated milk, and stir together well.
  • Add vinegar.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake at 425 degrees F for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 300 degrees F for 40 minutes.
  • Let cool.
  • Cut and top with whipped cream.
