BEST STEAK MARINADE IN EXISTENCE
This is a family recipe that has been developed only over the last 5 years. In this short time it's made me famous in our close circle, but until now I've never shared it with anyone.

Steps:
- Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
- Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

MARINATED GRILLED STEAK
Steps:
- Trim the steak of excess fat and rub with garlic and pepper. Place the steak into a glass baking dish and pour over the vinegar. Marinate the steak for 20 to 30 minutes, turning the steak every 10 minutes. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat dry with a paper towel. Grill or broil steak to desired degree of doneness. Pour the marinade into a saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat until the liquid is syrupy. Add 2 tablespoons of cold butter to the syrup and swirl to melt the butter. Slice the steak across the grain in thin slices and serve with the balsamic sauce.
THE BEST STEAK MARINADE
We use this marinade for rib steaks, but can be used for almost any cut of beef.

GRILLED MARINATED HANGER STEAK
The long, relatively thin cut known as hanger steak may be labeled "butcher's steak," "bistro cut," or, if already cut lengthwise into two pieces, "steak strips." To prevent an overly chewy texture, hanger steak should be sliced thinly across the grain. This recipe can be doubled to feed a crowd or be used for sandwiches.

- Prep:Combine oil, vinegar, garlic, and pepper in a large shallow dish. Add steak, turning to coat. Refrigerate at least 6 hours and up to 8, turning once if possible. Remove steak from marinade, and discard marinade. Let steak stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Season very generously with salt and pepper.
- Grill:Heat grill to medium-high. Grill steak, uncovered, rotating frequently, until internal temperature reaches 125 degrees for medium-rare or 130 degrees for medium, about 12 minutes total. Transfer steak to a cutting board, and let rest 5 minutes. Slice steak on the diagonal.

- In a shallow dish, combine the soy sauce, onions, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and pepper. Add the steaks and turn to coat; cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight., Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 8-10 minutes or until the meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). May be frozen for up to 3 months.

- Pour enough soy sauce to cover the bottom of the dish that you are going to use to marinade.
- Add lemon juice, brown sugar, garlic powder, greek seasoning,and olive oil.
- Push one clove of garlic through a garlic press into the marinade. Stir.
- Place steaks in marinade and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, turning halfway through.
- Remove steaks for cooking, discard marinade.
