HAITIAN FRENCH TOAST
Rich and yummy! I've been using this recipe for special occasion brunches and breakfasts for several years. It ALWAYS gets great reviews and requests for the recipe. I first ran across it in Sunset magazine years ago. I hope you enjoy it!

Steps:
- Cut off the ends of the baguette a reserve for another use. Cut the remainder in 1/2 inch slices. Let them stand for at least 4 hours or overnight to dry.
- In a 9x13 pan combine the orange juice, heavy cream, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and white sugar.
- Place the bread slices in the pan, turning the slices until the liquid is absorbed.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium to medium high heat. Add bread slices and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes. Dust heavily with powdered sugar to serve.
- I always include maple or fruit syrup on the table.
- Heavenly way to start the day!
- Prep time doesn't include the bread drying step.

A yummy and rich French toast perfect for a celebration brunch. I first served this for New Year's Day brunch with a mixed grill of meats and a bottle of good champagne.

Steps:
- Cut loaf ends off and reserve for another use. Cut remaining loaf into 1 1/2 inch slices; let stand 4 hours or overnight.
- In a 9x13 inch baking pan, combine orange juice, cream, eggs ground cinnamon and white sugar. Place bread slices in pan and turn until liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add bread slices and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Dust generously with confectioners' sugar and serve warm.

HAWAIIAN STUFFED FRENCH TOAST
This French Toast is French Toast taken to a new level! I got this recipe from a friend of mine. It is simple to make but tastes amazing at the same time.

Steps:
- Cut wedges from the loaf of Hawaiian Sweet Bread about 3-4 inches thick. Carefully cut a hole in the back of the wedge.
- In a bowl, mix together honey with the Ricotta Cheese. Measure a tablespoon of the Ricotta Cheese mixture and carefully stuff into the back of the wedge of bread.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl. Then dip the bread on all sides in the eggs. Fry the bread in a skillet on Medium to High heat.
- Cook on all sides. When finished, top with fresh strawberries and whipped cream and enjoy!
HAWAIIAN FRENCH TOAST
Made with surprisingly easy to find Hawaiian Sweet bread (or make it in a bread machine), this recipe puts a new twist on French toast. Serve right away with warm syrup. Can be garnished with coconut.

- In a shallow bowl, whisk together egg yolks, egg white, vanilla, rum extract, orange zest, water and 1 tablespoon honey.
- Coat bread slices in egg mixture; set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges, honey and maple syrup. Simmer over medium-low heat for 3 minutes.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Fry bread slices until brown on both sides. Serve hot with warm fruit sauce.
