HAM LOAF WITH GOLDEN SAUCE
This ham version of meat loaf was one of my mother's standbys, and it's now a main dish my husband and I enjoy often. The sauce, which has a nice hint of sweetness, reminds me of the color of the sky when I enjoy a golden Southwestern sunset from my kitchen window!

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine first 10 ingredients. Pack into a 9x5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1-1/2 hours. , Meanwhile, combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened and translucent. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Remove loaf from pan and serve sauce over it.

"THIS is a recipe that comes from my father's side of the family. It's a simple dish to make, good for just about any occasion. The sauce makes the meat especially flavorful. - In a large bowl, combine the crackers, milk, eggs and pepper. Crumble ham and pork over mixture and mix well. Press into a 9x5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1-1/4 hours or until a thermometer reads 160°. , Meanwhile, combine the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Baste loaf occasionally after first 20 minutes of baking.

- In a bowl combine the first 5 ingredients. Crumble ham and turkey over mixture and mix together well.
- Press into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake uncovered at 375°F for 50 to 55 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 160°F.
- In a saucepan combine sauce ingredients; cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve with ham loaf.

GRANDMOTHER'S HAM LOAF
This is a meat loaf made with ham that features a mustard glaze instead of the usual ketchup type on beef meat loaves. It makes a lot and leftovers make great sandwiches. If you want a ham loaf that really goes bang, substitute the recipe for Pirate's Pantry Hot Mustard Sauce (posted separately) for the glaze in this recipe.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients except glaze. I use a stand mixer.
- Make a loaf and place in a glass 9"x13" baking dish.
- Add 2 TBSP water to bottom of baking dish.
- Cover loaf with glaze.
- Bake at 325 for 11/2 hours or until 165 degrees.
- Allow to sit 15 minute before slicing.
- Au Gratin potatoes are an excellent accompaniment.
