CLASSIC BAKED APPLES
Classic Baked Apples are the perfect dessert for Fall. They are easy to make and are perfect for topping off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Starting from the apple stem, use a paring knife to remove cores from each apple, leaving the bottom of the apple intact to create a hollow bowl-like interior. Place each prepared apple into a 9x13 baking dish.
- In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans. Spoon into the center of each apple to fill to top.
- Place 1/2 tablespoon of butter on top of each apple center. Pour water into the bottom of the baking dish so that the apples sit in the water and steam.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are soft. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

HOLIDAY BAKED APPLES
Baked red apples have a strong, sweet flavor and a buttery cinnamon filling with a hint of coconut. Eat with a knife and fork. Goes well with vanilla ice cream or alone.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cut the core and seeds out of apple, leaving about a 1/2 in the bottom, creating a well-like hole. Mix 2 tablespoons brown sugar, butter, coconut, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together in a bowl; fill well in the apple with brown sugar mixture. Place stuffed apple in a baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until apple is tender, about 30 minutes. Transfer baked apple to a serving bowl and drizzle any remaining juices from baking dish over apple; sprinkle with 1 pinch brown sugar and cinnamon.

- In a large bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, juice and whiskey until blended. Stir in the pears, dried plums and raisins., Cut a 1/2-in. slice off the top of each apple. Hollow out remaining apple, reserving centers and leaving a 1/2-in. thick shell. Chop centers, discarding center cores and seeds. Add chopped apple to pear mixture; toss to combine. , Place hollowed out apples in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Fill with pear mixture; spoon remaining mixture around apples., Bake at 350°, uncovered, for 45-50 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove apples to dessert plates. Transfer remaining fruit mixture to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook for 10-15 minutes or until liquid is syrupy. Spoon over apples.
