Spicy, sweet and addictive hot honey is a delicious condiment and easy to make at home. Learn how to make homemade hot honey using red pepper flake or fresh or dried chiles with this easy recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup honey
2 tsp red pepper flakes (or 2 fresh or dried chiles of your choice)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Steps:

Add honey and your choice of chile or pepper flakes to a saucepan. Bring this to a simmer over medium heat, remove from heat and stir in apple cider vinegar. Cool to room temperature and transfer to a glass container straining out peppers if desired.

This hot honey recipe infuses honey with a mixture of fresh habanero peppers and spicy dried red peppers for a spicy honey you'll love. Works with any chili pepper.

Ingredients

4-5 habanero peppers (roughly chopped (or peppers of your choice))
4-5 small dried peppers (rough chopped (I used Hawaiian hots, but try dried Thai chiles or chile de arbol))
12 ounces honey

Steps:

Add the peppers and honey to a small pot. Heat and simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes to infuse them with the pepper flavor and heat.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Strain the honey through a fine mesh sieve. Toss out the peppers.
Store in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator. Use as needed.
