  • Preheat the grill for medium heat.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix the mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and steak sauce. Set aside a small amount of the honey mustard sauce for basting, and dip the chicken into the remaining sauce to coat.
  • Lightly oil the grill grate. Grill chicken over indirect heat for 18 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally, or until juices run clear. Baste occasionally with the reserved sauce during the last 10 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent burning!

1/3 cup olive oil
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Add the oil, vinegar, honey, Dijon Mustard, and salt to a gallon-sized freezer bag, seal, and shake. Either seal and refrigerate until ready to use, OR add 1.5-2 pounds chicken to the bag, seal, and squish around to make sure the chicken is covered in marinade. (Freezing instructions begin here.)
  • Place the bag in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours.
  • Cook the chicken however you'd like (grill, slow cook, pressure cook, or bake). See tips below in the Notes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Place chicken in a casserole dish or on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake uncovered for about 20-25 minutes, until done.
  • Place chicken and marinade in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Really! That's all it takes to get it done, otherwise you'll overcook and dry it out.
  • Place chicken, marinade, and 1/3 cup chicken broth in a 6 quart Instant Pot. (Note: If using an 8 quart, add an additional 1/2 cup of broth.) Lock and seal the lid. Cook at high pressure for 7 minutes and use a quick release of the pressure when the cook time is up. (Note: It will take 10-15 minutes to come to pressure before the cook time starts.)
  • Pound out the chicken to about 3/4 inch thick (or cut it in half lengthwise) to help with fast and even cooking. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and clean the grates well. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, maybe longer depending on the thickness, until done.

1/4 cup tamari soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried ground ginger
1 tablespoon honey (such as wildflower)
4 bone-in (skin on chicken leg and thigh pieces)
1/4 cup water

Steps:

  • To a 9 x 13 inch baking dish add the mustard, tamari, ginger and honey. Whisk well to combine. Add the chicken pieces and coat them evenly in the marinade ending with the skin side up. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 8.
  • Remove the chicken dish from the refrigerator 30 minutes before roasting. Toss the chicken pieces again to coat well.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Add the 1/4 cup water to the pan and swirl to combine. Place the pan in the oven and roast for 45 to 50 minutes, basting every 15 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 160 degrees F on a digital thermometer. Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine all of the marinade ingredients and stir or whisk together until well blended .
  • Transfer chicken legs to a large mixing bowl or a large ziploc bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken and toss with your hands to evenly coat the chicken, pushing some of the marinade under the skin of each chicken leg for richer flavor. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate 6 hours or overnight, tossing chicken once while marinating.
  • Preheat oven to 400˚F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or a silpat. Arrange chicken skin-side-down and bring chicken to room temp while oven preheats. This recipe does not require that the chicken be defrosted, it requires minimal work and the chicken came out moist and juicy.

2 frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
4 thin lemon slices
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with foil; spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.

1 cup heavy/whipping cream

Steps:

  • Prepare your chicken (cut it in half lengthwise so you have 4 smaller cutlets). Sprinkle them with the garlic powder and salt & pepper and then coat them in the flour.
  • Heat the olive oil and one tablespoon of the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once the pan is hot, add the chicken pieces and cook them for 4-5 minutes/side or until they're golden. If the oil starts to splatter a lot, reduce the heat. Once the chicken is browned, take it out of the pan and set it aside.
  • Take the pan off the heat and add the rest of the butter, the chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and the honey.
  • Return the pan to the stove and adjust the heat to medium. Stir the sauce until the mustard has dissolved (make sure the liquid doesn't reduce completely).
  • Add the cream. Once the sauce is bubbling again, add the chicken back in. Let it cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is reduced to your liking.

Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
1 tablespoon each chopped fresh parsley, thyme and rosemary, plus extra for garnish

½ cup heavy cream

  • Pat chicken dry and season on all sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Stir in butter.
