Honey Roasted Pecans image

Hey pecan lovers! Give these Honey Roasted Pecans a try next time you are craving a sweet and salty snack. Easy to prepare in the oven, these roasted pecans are hard to resist.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups pecan halves
2 tablespoons honey (warmed slightly)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Like a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
  • In medium bowl stir together all ingredients. Pour onto baking sheet and spread to single layer.
  • Bake for 6 minutes. Stir. Bake for another 5 to 8 minutes or until lightly roasted. (Be careful not to burn your pecans.)
  • Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  • Store in airtight container.

These glazed cinnamon pecans make a delicious snack or gift, and are wonderful as a topping for salads or desserts.

125 grams pecan halves (1 cup)
3 tablespoons honey* (see notes below)
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
a pinch salt
a pinch pepper (freshly ground)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 180℃/160℃ fan/350℉ and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine the pecans and honey and mix together till well coated. Then spread the pecans out on the parchment paper in a single layer.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar with cinnamon, salt and ground pepper and sprinkle over the pecans.
  • Bake on the middle shelf for 5 minutes, then remove and stir the pecans and bake for a further 7 minutes. Allow to cool before separating and using/storing.

1 1/2 cups dried garbanzo beans
3 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Steps:

  • Place garbanzo beans in a large sauce pan, add water and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover and continue a slow boil for 35 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, thoroughly drain and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Pre-heat oven to 375°.
  • Spread beans on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for approximately 45 minutes or until they test crispy.
  • Warm the honey, mix in the oil, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. While the mixture is still warm remove the crispy garbanzo beans from the oven and gently stir together until well mixed.
  • Caramelize the garbanzo beans by placing them back on the baking sheet and put them back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted nuts )

Steps:

  • Melt together honey and butter. Remove from heat and mix in cinnamon and salt. Pour over nuts and mix well. Spread mixture on jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring a few times during bake time. Spread mixture onto wax paper and cool completely. Break nuts apart and store in airtight container.

3 tablespoons honey, or to taste

Steps:

  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl.
  • Mix milk, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl. Pour into flour mixture slowly, while stirring, until batter is combined.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a griddle over medium-high heat. Drop batter by large spoonfuls onto the griddle and cook until bubbles form and edges are dry, 3 to 4 minutes. 2 large egg whites, at room temperature
1 pinch salt
1 cup white sugar
1 ½ cups pecan halves
1 ½ cups whole almonds
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Beat egg whites with salt in a bowl until frothy; add sugar gradually, beating to stiff peaks. Gently fold in pecans, almonds, and cinnamon. Pour mixture onto a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan, drizzle melted butter over top, and toss to coat.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, tossing every 10 minutes, until nuts are crisp, about 40 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

2 cups chopped pecans
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 pinches allspice
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Mix sugar, salt and allspice in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Saute butter and honey in pan and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat. Add nuts and toss to coat.
  • Transfer nuts to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Sprinkle sugar mixture over the top of the nuts and toss gently. NOTE: Do not mix as sugar will dissolve and won't stick to the nuts.
  • Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
  • Let nuts cool completely and store in air-tight container or freeze.
