An economical casserole for the family. It's quick and easy. I learnt to make this when I was a beginner cook. (I also ate meat and wheat then)

Number Of Ingredients 7

750 g thick sausages
1 onion, chopped
2 slices bacon, rashers chopped
41 g French onion soup mix (the powdered kind)
2 cups water
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (or use steamed fresh veges)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 180°C.
  • Fry the sausages until browned. Chop into chunky pieces and set aside.
  • Fry the onion and bacon until the onion is soft.
  • Into a large casserole combine all of the ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • Stir in the parsley and serve.

12 ounces mild bulk sausage (we use Jimmy Dean)
12 ounces spicy bulk sausage (we use Jimmy Dean)
10 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup sour cream
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 zucchini, chopped
16 ounces mushrooms, sliced
2 cups cubed American cheese or 2 cups Velveeta cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cook sausage.
  • Drain grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a large, deep baking dish (we use 9 X 13 baking pan) add sausage, eggs, sour cream, onion, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms and cheese.
  • Stir very well to mix thoroughly.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown and eggs are set.

1 pound bulk hot Italian pork sausage
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 cup uncooked regular long-grain white rice
2 (10.75 ounce) cans Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 serving Vegetable cooking spray

Steps:

  • Cook the sausage in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the pepper, onion, celery, rice,soups and 1 can of water in the skillet.
  • Spray a 3-quart casserole with the cooking spray. Spoon the sausage mixture into the casserole. Bake at 400 degrees F. covered for 45 minutes. Remove cover, stir and cook 15 minutes more.
