INSTANT POT® CRISPY BARBECUE CHICKEN WINGS
Save time by making chicken wings in an electric pressure cooker like the Instant Pot®. Frozen or thawed, these turn out great with your favorite barbecue sauce.

- Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select manual function. Place the trivet in the pot and add the water. Place wings on the trivet. Close and lock the lid and seal the vent. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 12 minutes. Allow 20 to 25 minutes for pressure to build.
- Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
- Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Line a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil.
- Remove wings from pressure cooker and pat dry with paper towels. Mix barbecue sauce and melted butter together in a bowl. Place wings on the prepared pan and baste with barbecue sauce mixture.
- Cook wings under the hot broiler, turning once, until desired crispness is reached, 5 to 15 minutes.

Steps:
- Place metal rack in your pot
- Add broth.
- Place your wingettes on top of the rack
- Close the pressure cooking lid
- Press Pressure (it should automatically set to HIGH pressure). Set time to 8 minutes. Hit START.
- Once wingettes are done, do a quick release. Remove them to a plate. Dump leftover broth or water that is left in your pot.
- Place your wingettes into your air fry basket. (if only cooking 24, you can lay them in the bottom of your pot)
- Pour melted butter over the wings. Mix wingettes gently around to coat well with butter.
- Give a good sprinkle of Season All.
- Close the air fryer lid. Press Air fry, time will automatically be set to 18 min, keep that.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, open your lid and mix the wings around gently, to make sure most parts of your wings are getting crisp. Sprinkle with Season All. close your lid and continue to air crisp for 5-10 min longer depending on your desired crispness.

- Coat the chicken wings in the sauce, use as much sauce as you need for them all to be coated.
- Lay the chicken wings on the air fryer basket's tray (like I did) or straight into the basket itself if using more than I did. Air Fryer lid in place. Press Broil (which is set at 204ºC / 400ºF) and programme 16 minutes, press Start.
- When the cooker beeps and the display says Turn Food. Turn the chicken wings over. If you have more than I did and you used the basket without the tray, put your silicone mini mitts on, grab the basket by the handles, lift the basket and shake. When you lift the lid the cooker will pause and it will continue where it left off when you put the lid back on.
- Check the chicken wings are cooked through at the end of the cooking time. Just add a few minutes if they're not. Same if you want them crispier.
