Intoxicating Root Beer Float Recipes

ROOT BEER FLOATS

Steps:

• Hang a large, well packed scoop of vanilla ice cream on the edge of a fountain glass or other tall drinking glass. Fill the glass 3/4 full with root beer. Set the fountain glass on a salad plate, underlining the glass for overflow. Serve floats with straws and parfait spoons. When you are ready to enjoy the floats, knock the ice cream into the root beer and watch it fizz up as the ice cream floats. Yummy! This is the simplest and my most favorite fountain drink!

ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Put the ice cream into the glass.
• Pour the root beer over the ice cream to fill the glass.
• Enjoy!

ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Scoop 1/2 cup ice cream into each of four tall glasses. Add enough root beer to fill each glass. Serve each with a long iced-tea spoon and straw.

GOURMET ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Place 1 scoop of ice cream into each of two tall glasses. Pour root beer carefully over the ice cream. Add another scoop and repeat. If possible, repeat again. Top each with whipped cream and cherries.

HOMEMADE ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Combine the carbonated water, sugar and root beer concentrate in an extra-large bowl or punch bowl - something that is food-safe and won't break when the dry ice is added. Don't cover with a lid. Gently stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the dry ice to the mixture in a well-ventilated area. The mixture will start to bubble. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes to fully carbonate.
• Ladle some of the root beer into a glass. Top with desired amount of vanilla ice cream.

INTOXICATING ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Put all into a vita mix or blender process till smooth.
• Pour into tall glasses and drink away!

HOMEMADE ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Combine the carbonated water, sugar and root beer concentrate in an extra-large bowl or punch bowl - something that is food-safe and won't break when the dry ice is added. Don't cover with a lid. NOT YOUR KIDS' ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• In a pint glass, stir together 1/4 cup of the root beer and the root beer schnapps. Place in the freezer for 2 hours, or until ready to drink. Leave the remaining root beer at room temperature.
• When ready to drink, scoop the ice cream into the pint glass, and top off with the room temperature root beer.

• Pre-chill root beer, condensed milk, and ice cream maker canister.
• Combine root beer, condensed milk, and vanilla.
• Fill ice cream maker canister with root beer mixture.
• Freeze per ice cream maker's manufacturer's instructions.
