Italian Twisted Balsamic Pork Chops (Gluten-Free) image

A very quick, easy Italian-inspired pork chop. Great if you're just looking for something a little different. This is just a little something that I threw together and it turned out fantastic! Now it is one of my husband's favorites! Eat and enjoy!

4 pork chops
3 tablespoons dried basil
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons seasoned salt
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
1 large tomato, cut into 1/4-inch slices

Steps:

  • Arrange pork chops in a baking dish.
  • Whisk basil, onion powder, and seasoned salt together in a bowl.
  • Drizzle half of the balsamic vinegar over pork chops and spread to evenly coat; top with half of the basil mixture. Flip pork chops and coat with remaining balsamic vinegar and basil mixture. Place 1 tomato slice on top of each pork chop and let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until pork chops are cooked through, 35 to 40 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Remove baking dish from oven and allow pork chops to sit in the dish for 10 minutes.

You love that these breaded pork chops are moist and full of flavor.

3 eggs
3 Tablespoons milk
1 ½ cups seasoned bread crumbs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tablespoon dried parsley
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 boneless pork chops

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, beat together eggs and milk.
  • In another bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and garlic powder.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat.
  • Take each pork chop, and cover it in the egg mixture, and then in the bread crumb mixture. Cook for 3 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.
  • Cover a baking sheet in foil.
  • Place the cooked pork chops on the baking sheet, and bake them for 30-40 minutes, until pork chops are cooked through completely.
