Kix Cereal Bars Recipes

KIX CEREAL BARS

Steps:

• Place parchment paper into glass pan and spray the parchment paper with the Pam spray.
• In a large pot, melt the 3 tbsp of butter.
• Once butter is melted, mix in the mini marshmallows.
• Mix the Kix cereal and 1 cup of dried cranberries.
• Pour into the dish and spray Pam spay onto a rubber spatula.
• Sprinkle the remaining dried cranberries onto the top of the bars.
• Let harden for 10 minutes before cutting and enjoying.

KIX BARS

Steps:

• In microwave safe bowl melt together the butter, marshmallows, and chocolate chips (about 2 minutes), then stir til mixed well.
• Slowly add cereal and fold it into the mixture, you can use more or less of the kix, depending on how chocolatey you want them to be.
• Drop by large spoonfuls onto waxed paper (spray with pam first for best results) and stick in the refrigerator.
• Chill for one hour or longer depending on when you want to eat them.

PEANUT BUTTER CEREAL TREATS

Steps:

• In a large saucepan, combine the marshmallows, butter and peanut butter. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until melted. Remove from the heat. Stir in the cereal and M&M's., Pat into a 13x9-in. pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into bars.

SPECIAL CEREAL BARS I

Steps:

• Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
• In a large sauce pan, combine sugar and light corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until boiling. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the cereal. Pat the cereal mixture into the greased pan.
• Melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over a double boiler or in the microwave. Spread the melted mixture over the cereal bars and refrigerate to set.

KIX™ ON STIX

Steps:

• In 3-quart saucepan, heat sugar and corn syrup to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until blended. Stir in cereal. Cool slightly, 2 to 3 minutes.
• Lightly butter hands. Shape 1 to 2 tablespoons cereal mixture into a ball around each candy. Immediately roll in candy sprinkles. Place pretzel stick into each cereal ball.

NO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER-CEREAL BARS

Steps:

• Line bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with foil or parchment paper. Spray foil with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix cereal, peanuts and peanut butter chips; set aside.
• In large microwavable bowl, microwave peanut butter, honey and butter uncovered on High 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until mixture is boiling and slightly thickened.
• Pour over cereal mixture in bowl; stir until evenly coated. Using buttered back of spoon, press mixture very firmly in pan. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until firm enough to cut.
• For bars, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store covered at room temperature up to 1 week.
