NO-BAKE LUCKY CHARMS™ TREATS



No-Bake Lucky Charms™ Treats image

Cereal isn't just for breakfast-it's actually quite versatile. How about a Lucky Charms™ dessert? This 5-ingredient no-bake treat made with Lucky Charms™ cereal is a quick and easy way to celebrate St. Paddy's Day.

5 tablespoons butter
1 bag (10 oz) large marshmallows
6 cups Lucky Charms™ cereal
8 oz almond-flavored candy coating (almond bark)
Green gel food color

Steps:

  • Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In 3-quart or larger saucepan, melt 5 tablespoons butter over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows. Cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are almost melted. Remove from heat; immediately stir in 6 cups Lucky Charms™ cereal.
  • Pour mixture into pan. With rubber spatula, press mixture down to fit evenly in pan. Cool about 30 minutes.
  • Microwave 8 oz almond-flavored candy coating (almond bark) as directed on bag. Add green gel food color to reach desired color.
  • Cut cooled cereal mixture into 4 rows by 4 rows to make 16 bars. Dip bottom of each bar into melted candy coating, spread evenly. Place coating side up on sheet of waxed paper; let stand until coating is set before serving.

25 large marshmallows or 2 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
5 cups Lucky Charms cereal

Steps:

  • Grease 9x9x2-inch pan.
  • Melt margarine and marshmallows until smooth, either over medium heat in a saucepan or in the microwave.
  • Stir in Lucky Charms until well coated. Press into pan with buttered hands.
  • Cut into squares when cool.

Easiest treats to make, with a fun Lucky Charms twist for St. Patrick's Day!

6 cups Lucky Charms cereal
4 cups mini marshmallows (one 10oz bag)
3 Tbsp unsalted butter
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the mini marshmallows and butter.
  • Stir until the mixture is melted, then remove from heat.
  • Coat a large bowl lightly with cooking spray, add the cereal and marshmallow sauce, stir until the cereal is well coated with the sauce.
  • Add the cereal mixture to a small casserole dish that has been coated with cooking spray.
  • Spread with a spatula (one that's been coated with the spray is helpful since this mixture gets sticky!) until one even layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into treats.

Say hello to these super-fun, double-marshmallow treats. Not only are these crunchy bars coated in a marshmallow-butter mixture, but the small, colorful ones from the cereal box are the perfect decoration.

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for the pan
One 11.5-ounce box Lucky Charms &trade cereal (about 6 cups)
One 10-ounce bag standard marshmallows
8 ounces white chocolate, chopped

Steps:

  • Line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang on at least two sides; butter the foil. Pick out and reserve 1/2 cup the colorful marshmallows from the cereal.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the standard marshmallows and stir continuously until melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the cereal until coated.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish and let cool completely at room temperature, about 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, put the chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second increments, stirring after each, until melted.
  • Use the foil overhang to lift out the treats from the pan. Drizzle the chocolate over the treats and sprinkle with the reserved colorful marshmallows. Let the chocolate coating harden at room temperature, about 2 hours. Cut into 18 bars.
