KEEP THE KITCHEN COOL AND MAKE MAPLE ALMOND GRANOLA IN THE …
2018-08-19 But I forget. You can make granola in the slow cooker. So when it’s hot out, as counter-intuitive as it seems, it’s time to get out the slow-cooker. Don’t stash it on a back shelf, waiting for stew season. For this granola, I just translated an old favorite into a crock ready format, and gave it an hour and a half of hands-off time.

MAL’S MAPLE DATE PECAN GRANOLA IN THE SLOW COOKER RECIPE …
The great thing about slow cookers is you don't HAVE to check to make sure its burning. I followed previous reviews and baked it on a piece of foil. A casserole dish works as well. I omitted the extract hemp and chia and substituted raisins for dates (dried cranberries would work as well). I did 1/4 teaspoon cardamom to zip it up but it still was a little bland.

This is my first ever attempt at granola, and I’m stoked! I made it in the slow cooker, for the most part following the recipe list. I used walnuts, dates, and slivered apples and almonds. After the three hours were up I removed the lid and pulled the plug so it slowly cooled and dried and slightly toasted, which I like. I’m thinking the crockpot might handle a bigger …
