UPDATED MULLED CIDER

Steps:

• Peel the skin from the orange leaving the bitter white pith behind. Stick the cloves into the skin. Squeeze the juice from the orange and add to the 2-3/4 cups orange juice. Place all ingredients into a large nonreactive pan and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat, cover and allow to stand at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend. Serve warm or cold.

MAMA'S CHILI MY STYLE

Steps:

• Brown hamburger in pot. Season as you like.
• Add celery, onions, peppers, and 1 cup water and cook the vegetables down a bit until tender.
• Add tomato paste, tomato soup, seasoning packet, beans, 2 paste cans worth of water and 2 soup cans worth of water. Season more if you like.
• Cook on medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
• Enjoy!

OLD MAMA'S FASHIONED CHILI

Steps:

• Cook and stir ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until crumbly and browned, 5 to 10 minutes. Drain.
• Stir drained ground beef, black beans, kidney beans, tomatoes, green bell peppers, yellow onion, garlic, and chili seasoning together in a large pot over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are slightly tender and chili is heated through, 15 to 20 minutes. Season with hot sauce, salt, and ground black pepper to taste.

MAMA MULL'S CHILI

Steps:

• In a large pot, brown the ground beef; pour off excess fat.
• Add onions and garlic; cook for several minutes over medium heat.
• Add chili powder and onion soup mix; stir thoroughly.
• Add water; cook and stir until the soup mix dissolves.
• Add tomato sauce and wine/beer; bring to boiling point and reduce heat to a simmer.
• Cook 1 hour.
• Continue cooking over low heat for another 1 to 2 hours; stirring occasionally, adding water if necessary.
• About 20 minutes prior to serving, check for seasonings- salt, pepper, and Tabasco.
• Add beans; simmer until beans are heated through.
