MAMA'S SOUTHERN BAKED BEANS

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
• Pour beans into a large casserole dish.
• Mix in brown sugar, onion, green pepper, barbecue sauce and yellow mustard until combined.
• Bake uncovered at 60 minutes or until super bubbly.
• Stir beans together, rest for 10 minutes then serve.

MAMMA'S FAMOUS SOUTHERN-STYLE BBQ BAKED BEANS

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
• Place bacon on a baking sheet in a single layer and place in the oven.
• Mix beans, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, ketchup and mustard in a medium bowl.
• Place bean mixture into a baking dish.
• Slice onion into very fine slices and sprinkle over the bean mixture.
• Remove half-cooked bacon from the oven and place in a single layer, overlapping on the beans and onions.
• Place baking dish in the oven for approximately 15 minutes or until bacon is cooked thoroughly.
• Remove and allow to cool until it's safe to handle.
• Serve to your hungry BBQ guests!

MOM'S BAKED BEANS II

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Place bacon and onions in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain and set aside.
• In a large bowl combine beans, molasses, mustard, salt, tomatoes, brown sugar, dry mustard, ham, onions and crumbed bacon. Mix well and transfer to a 2 quart casserole dish.
• Bake in preheated oven, covered, for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for 1 hour more.

SOUTHERN-STYLE BARBECUE BAKED BEANS

Steps:

• Fry bacon in a small skillet; drain and set aside.
• In same skillet, saute onions and green bell pepper unil wilted.
• In large bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, and ground mustard.
• Skim liquid from top of beans while still in can and remove fatty pieces of pork. Combine beans, bacon, onion and green bell pepper with other ingredients.
• Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole dish.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
