A quick and easy way to barbecue chicken using a marinade.

Steps:
- Mix together ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and oil.
- Place chicken breasts in a dish, and pour marinade over. Refrigerate overnight.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes, basting every 15 minutes and turning once.

- In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Pour 1-1/2 cups marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add the chicken. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade., Drain and discard marinade. Add barbecue sauce to reserved marinade. Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack., Prepare grill for indirect heat using a drip pan. Place chicken over drip pan and grill, covered, over indirect medium heat for 35-50 minutes or until a thermometer reads 170°, turning and basting occasionally with marinade. Before serving, brush with remaining marinade.

KRYSTAL'S PERFECT MARINADE FOR BBQ OR GRILLED CHICKEN
My sister was kind enough to share this wonderful marinade. It tastes better than just teriyaki sauce. This marinade sauce is awesome. The perfect marinade. To use the marinade, pierce up to 4 pounds of chicken pieces all over with a fork and marinade 2 hours before cooking as desired.

GRILLED CHICKEN MARINADE

Steps:
- Whisk vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper together in a bowl and pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add chicken, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator, at least 4 hours.
- Preheat grill for medium-low heat and lightly oil the grate. Drain and discard marinade.
- Grill chicken on the preheated grill until no longer pink in the center, 4 to 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

- In a large shallow dish, combine water, wine, sesame oil, soy sauce, mustard, brown sugar and liquid smoke. Stir in Italian dressing mix, orange zest, ginger, paprika and fines herbs. Place chicken in the dish, and turn to coat. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil grate.

- For the marinade: Combine the ketchup, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, cumin, paprika, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few turns of pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. Add 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or 8 boneless skinless thighs (about 1 1/2 pounds), squeeze out the air, seal tightly and massage gently to coat the chicken with marinade. Refrigerate for 2 hours or freeze up to 1 month; defrost in the refrigerator overnight before cooking.
- To cook: Remove the chicken from the bag and grill over indirect heat, covered, until cooked through, lightly charred and an instant-read thermometer registers 165 degrees F, 20 to 25 minutes.

EASY BBQ CHICKEN MARINADE
Came up with this one on the fly. This quantity of ingredients will be sufficient marinade for 4 drumsticks. I like to use zipper-seal bags for marinating because the air can be removed so that the meat is surrounded by marinade, which means I can throw it into the fridge and forget about it until cooking time. I get a nice, even marinade on every piece without any extra fuss. Plus, it is one less dish to wash after.

ITALIAN MARINATED BARBECUED CHICKEN
Chicken barbecued using this marinade is d-lish! I needed a marinade for barbecued chicken but was totally out of my quick fix marinade--Italian dressing--so I threw this together. The flavor reminds me of mouth-watering, slow-barbecued firehall/church fundraiser barbecued chicken. I used 12 medium-sized drumsticks (2 per person to serve six), but you could use any chicken pieces you prefer. Please note preparation time does not include time to marinate.

- In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients (except chicken) and whisk thoroughly.
- In a wide, shallow re-sealable dish, arrange chicken pieces in one layer (Note: A gallon-sized baggie could be used instead).
- Pour marinade over chicken pieces and cover dish.
- Marinate refrigerated for 2-24 hours, occasionally turning chicken pieces for full coverage.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill chicken for 20-30 minutes, turning and basting with marinade every five minutes, until cooked through. Chicken is cooked through when a fork pierced through the thickest part releases clear juice, or the internal temperature reaches 170°F.
- Serve and enjoy!
