A wonderful marinade that makes even the toughest cuts of beef so tender you could cut them with a butter knife. Tastes great on pork chops and chicken, too. Play with the amounts of garlic and ginger to suit your taste. I tend to use more rather than less. Makes enough for four servings.

1 cup soy sauce
½ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons mustard powder
2 tablespoons ground ginger

Steps:

  • In a small, nonporous bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, mustard powder and ginger. Mix well, cover and refrigerate until ready to use on your favorite meat.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Filet Mignon Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: filet mignon, olive oil, onion, garlic, beer, salt and pepper mix

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 oz filet mignon
2 tablespoons olive oil, or butter
1 onion, sliced
1 clove garlic
1 bottle beer
salt and pepper mix, to taste

Steps:

  • Marinate the steaks in beer and let sit overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Remove from the fridge and pat dry with a paper towel. Allow steaks to rest for 20-30 until they are at room temperature. Generously season the meat with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  • Melt butter in a cast iron skillet. Add filets to heated skillet and cook without touching for 2-4 minutes on each side.
  • In a separate pan, saute onion & garlic in butter.
  • Add cooked garlic and onions on top of steaks, then transfer the cast iron skillet to the oven and continue to cook for 7 minutes to achieve medium doneness.
  • Serve with your favorite side and enjoy.

1 honeydew
1 pint raspberry sorbet
chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Halve the honeydew, discard the seeds, and chill it overnight in the fridge.
  • The next day, put the halves in the freezer for 15 minutes, pull them out, and pack them with sorbet, gently evening off the top.
  • Using a chilled knife, slice each half into halves again (make sure the melon is sorbet side up).
  • Finally, insert a row of chocolate chip seeds and serve immediately.

2 large eggs
3/4 cup 2% milk
2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Cut two 25x3-in. strips of heavy-duty foil; crisscross so they resemble an X. Place strips on bottom and up sides of a 5-qt. slow cooker. Coat strips with cooking spray., Combine the first 6 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into a round loaf; place in center of strips in slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low 5-6 hours or until a thermometer reads at least 160°. , In a small bowl, whisk ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon over meat loaf. Cook until heated through, about 15 minutes longer. Using foil strips as handles, remove meat loaf to a platter. Let stand 10-15 minutes before slicing.
