The name says it all! Measure ingredients to personal taste. Our family loves garlic and onion, so we add a little extra. Any leftover sauce can be frozen.

2 tablespoons butter
⅛ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped celery
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 cup ketchup
¼ cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute onion, celery and garlic until soft and translucent. Stir in ketchup, lemon juice, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

I have developed this sauce over a few years. The flavors develope a richer more flavorful sauce over the next day or so in the fridge. I always have everything on hand and takes no time to make. I keep an extra bottle in the fridge. If you want spicier, you can add some chopped jalapeno, or onion.

1 cup water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
7 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
1 tablespoon molasses

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring frequently for about 1 hour.

½ cup ketchup
½ cup brown sauce
6 tablespoons lemon juice
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup white vinegar
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon dry mustard

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, mix the ketchup, brown sauce, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, white vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Blend in the brown sugar and dry mustard until dissolved. Simmer 10 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat, and allow to cool before using on meats as desired.

1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
1/3-1/2 cup tomato puree
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (more pepper will make it hotter)
1 dash red pepper flakes
salt
hot sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a mason jar or some container that you can put a lid on and shake.
  • Shake.
  • Leave it sit on your counter or at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
