Milky Way Ice Cream image

4 ounces Milky Way candy bars, chopped
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup whole milk
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup chocolate syrup (optional)

Steps:

  • Melt the candy bars and condensed milk in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring, until smooth (do not let the bowl touch the water). Remove the bowl from the saucepan and whisk in the milk, half-and-half and chocolate syrup. Refrigerate until cold, at least 2 hours.
  • Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm, at least 2 hours. Photograph by Antonis Achilleos

6 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup chopped pecans
6 Milky Way candy bars (2.05 ounces each), chopped
3/4 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup white baking chips
1/2 teaspoon shortening

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine cereal and pecans; set aside. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine candy bars and butter. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until smooth, stirring once. Stir into cereal mixture., Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. pan; press down firmly. In a microwave, melt chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Drizzle over top. Cool. Cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.

2 (2 1/4 ounce) Milky Way bars
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup sifted powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Melt the butter and Milky Ways together in a heavy saucepan, stirring constantly over low heat until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove pan from heat; beat in the vanilla and powdered sugar until of spreading consistency.
  • Spread on warm cake, cupcakes, cookies, or brownies while the frosting is warm and pliable.

¼ cup cold water
2 fluid ounces vanilla-flavored vodka
2 fluid ounces white creme de cacao
2 fluid ounces Irish cream liqueur
1 tablespoon chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • Chill a martini glass by filling it with 1/2 cup of ice and cold water.
  • Place 1 cup of ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Pour the vanilla-flavored vodka, white creme de cacao, and Irish cream liqueur over the ice; cover and shake vigorously. Dump the ice and water from the martini glass and drizzle the inside of the glass with chocolate syrup. Strain the cocktail into the glass to serve.

As promised, here is a recipe from the S'mores-Gourmet Treats for EVERY Occasion by Lisa Adams. I highly recommend this book if you are a sweet/treat lover. All of the recipes look great and it has great party/serving ideas. The instructions given in the front of the book suggest all different ways from cooking the s'more; from campfire, to stove top, to microwave, to oven. I'll leave the cooking part to your discretion as everyone knows how to make a s'more (or at least I hope they do).

4 (1 ounce) Milky Way miniature candy bars (dark or light)
1 graham cracker, broken in half
1 large marshmallows

Steps:

  • Distribute the Milky Way minis evenly on 1/2 of the graham cracker and melt.
  • Because the chocolate is thinner than the regular chocolate bar, you won't need to heat your s'more as long as usual.
  • Roast the marshmallow.
  • When the candy bar pieces are sufficiently gooey, remove the graham cracker from the heat source; add the roasted marshmallow and top with remaining graham cracker.
