2 Quebec pork tenderloins, fat removed, cubed
4 pears, cubed
8 metal skewers or wooden skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
1/4 cup 60 ml maple syrup
2 tbsp. 30 ml miso
2 tbsp. 30 ml olive oil
1 tbsp. 15 ml curry powder
1/2 tsp. 2.5 ml Sichuan pepper, crushed

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients. Set aside.
  • Add the meat to the miso marinade. Marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the barbecue to high. Oil the grill.
  • Thread the meat onto skewers, alternating with pear pieces. Oil the meat.
  • Grill the kebabs for about 8 minutes or until the meat reaches pink doneness, turning halfway through cooking.
