This is a wonderful recipe that we prepare every year for our New Year's Eve snack fest. It would be perfect for potlucks or work "food days". It's very simple to make and would be easily adaptible to prepare in the crockpot. I've searched through all the meatball recipes on the internet and haven't seen anything else like it. Give it a try and it will become one of your favorite recipes, too!

1 jar apricot preserves
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 package Little Smokies sausage
1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks (drained)
1 green bell pepper, cut in thin strips
1 package prepared meatballs

Steps:

  • Bake meatballs in oven according to instructions on package.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in large pot and simmer until hot.
  • Add cooked meatballs to mixture.
  • Serve and enjoy!

No-Bake Brownie Bits image

EVERYONE loves this one. We make them every holiday and never have any leftover for ourselves. No one can resist them. We use "Martha White" brownie mix, it seems to work the best.

1 (1 lb) package fudge brownie mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup miniature M&M baking bits

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheets with waxed paper. In large saucepan, combine brownie mix, milk and butter. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Add peanut butter and vanilla, blend well. Stir in oats. Carefully fold in M&Ms.
  • Drop dough by tablespoonfull onto the cookie sheets. Let cool until set.

Steps:

  • In large saucepan over medium heat, combine preserves, barbecue sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Heat until hot and bubbly, stirring constantly. Stir in wieners, pineapple, and green pepper. Heat thoroughly. Transfer mixture to chafing dish, keeping warm over low heat. Serve with toothpicks. (Stick pretzels can be used instead.)
