MOM'S CAKE ADDITIONS (AND DAD'S, LOL)
Mom always made the best cakes, and everyone loved them. There were a few additions to her cakes, which I am sharing here. Although the best cake we ever made was when my Dad baked a cake for her and let me help (she was very sick at the time). He was the first to add a splash of beer, and when I was shocked, he then said I could put anything in that I wanted, so of course a fist full of M&Ms were my choice. It was amazingly good, and since the beer cooked off, I could eat it (mom passed away when I was 7, this was for her birthday cake when I was 6).

- Mom added Mayo to white cakes, yellow cakes, ones that peanut butter might not taste to good with...
- Mom added Peanut Butter in chocolate cakes, or cakes she wanted that peanut butter flavor to come out.
- Dad made a cake for mom's birthday when I was 6 (her birthday was in Jan), adding his touch of beer, and my touch of M&Ms.
- No matter what you choose to add, these will make people rave about your cake! Add as much as you like, she used a heaping spoon, but you can always add more!

- 1. Preheat your oven to 315 F. Prepare a 10-cup Bundt pan with the nonstick method of your choice.
- 2. In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat the butter for 2 minutes on high speed. Slowly add the sugar and salt.
