MOM'S TURKEY CHILI
This chili is thick and hearty...more like a stew than a soup. You can eat it as is or on top of rice or macaroni. Enjoy!

Steps:
- First add your olive oil to a pot and let heat up. Add your onion and green pepper and cook until they start to soften.
- Add your meat and as it starts to brown, add the cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Mix well and continue to brown.
- Lastly add your tomato products, beans and garlic. Make sure to drain and rinse the beans first.
- After adding the tomato paste, fill the 6oz can with water and add to the pot.
- Let cook over medium heat for 20 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Can be served as is, over rice or macaroni.
- Enjoy!

- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and stir in the ground turkey. Cook and stir until the turkey is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease. Stir in the onion; cook and stir until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth, tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, refried beans, garlic, chili powder, paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Sprinkle each bowl with a teaspoon of Cheddar cheese, if desired.

Steps:
- Cook bacon in skillet, drain on paper towel, allow to cool and break in pieces. Crumble and brown turkey in the skillet and stir to break apart. Place cooked turkey and bacon in slow cooker. Season with taco seasoning mix, oregano, garlic powder and salt,and pepper. Mix until meat is evenly coated. Pour in beef broth, Rotel salsa, kidney beans, tomatoes, tomato paste. Add onion, green pepper, bay leaf, celery, salt, and pepper. Mix well. You may need to adjust for the thickness by adding water.
- Simmer on low, stirring occasionally. Cook for approximately 6 to 7 hours.
- Garnish with green onions, sour cream and/or cheddar cheese.

- In a large, deep skillet, dutch oven, or pot, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil and ground turkey. Brown the meat until it is no longer pink, about 4 to 6 minutes.
- Add the chopped onions and cook, stirring frequently, until translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook one minute longer, stirring frequently.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, salt, pepper smoked paprika and stir to combine letting spices cook for a minute or so.
