4 cups Chex™ cereal
4 cups popped microwave popcorn
1 cup honey-roasted cashews
1 cup roasted salted pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup butter or margarine
6 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup candy corn

Steps:

  • In 4-quart microwavable bowl, mix cereal, popcorn, cashews and pumpkin seeds; set aside.
  • In medium microwavable bowl, microwave butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla uncovered on High about 2 minutes or until mixture is boiling, stirring after 1 minute; stir in pumpkin pie spice. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
  • Microwave 5 to 6 minutes, stirring and scraping bowl after every minute. Spread on waxed paper to cool, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up.
  • Stir in candy corn. Store in airtight container.

4 cups crispy rice cereal squares (such as Rice Chex ®)
4 cups popped popcorn
1 cup roasted, salted pumpkin seeds
1 cup honey roasted peanuts
¼ cup unsalted butter
6 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup candy corn

Steps:

  • Mix cereal, popcorn, pumpkin seeds, and peanuts together in a 4-quart microwaveable bowl.
  • Microwave butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract together in another microwave-safe bowl, uncovered, on high power until boiling, about 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in pumpkin pie spice. Pour over cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  • Microwave cereal mixture, 5 to 6 minutes, stirring and scraping down the bowl every minute.
  • Spread on waxed paper to cool, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up. Stir in candy corn.

This chex mix is perfect for parties because it makes a ton! You could even put it into single-serving bags and take for a classroom party.

Number Of Ingredients 8

5 ounces pretzels
2 ½ cups Honey Nut Cheerios
2 ½ cups Corn Chex ((Honey Nut Chex also work great))
1 cup peanuts
2 cups M & M's chocolate candies ((or any kind of M&M's; about a 12 ounce bag))
1 ½ cups Candy Corn
2 cups white chocolate chips ((12 ounce bag))
1 ½ Tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • In a VERY large bowl (or two medium bowls), combine the first 6 ingredients. Set aside.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, heat white chips and oil on high for 60 seconds (you could also melt chocolate and oil in a double boiler pan).
  • Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds and stir until completely melted and smooth (you may need to microwave for a couple more seconds).
  • Pour melted chocolate over cereal mix and stir until all the cereal is evenly covered with white chocolate.
  • Spread cereal mix on 2 large baking sheets (I used cookie sheets) lined with wax paper.
  • Let cool and then break apart into chunks.
  • Store in an airtight container.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
8 cups desired monster cereal (such as Frankenberry®, Boo Berry®, Count Chocula®, Yummy Mummy™ and/or Frute Brute™)
1/2 cup Halloween-colored candy sprinkles, if desired

Steps:

  • In large microwavable bowl, microwave baking chips uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Stir in oil.
  • Gently stir in cereal until evenly coated.
  • Spread on waxed paper or foil; top with Halloween sprinkles. Cool until chocolate is set, about 30 minutes. Break into chunks. Store loosely covered.

3 cups popped popcorn
3 cups Crispix
1/2 cup mixed nuts
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons caramel apple dip

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the popcorn, cereal and nuts. In a small saucepan, combine butter and caramel dip; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat. Pour over popcorn mixture and toss to coat. , Transfer to a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 250° for 45-60 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
