Quick Shells and Cheese image

1 pound mini shells pasta
2 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon butter
2 cups grated Cheddar-Jack
8 ounces processed cheese, such as Velveeta, diced
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  • Heat the milk and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the cheeses and stir until melted. Stir in the pepper, salt and seasoned salt. Drain the pasta, and stir it into the cheese sauce. Serve immediately.

Super cheesy and decadently delicious, this Shells and Cheese Recipe is an easy, quick-fix dish that comes together in 20 minutes and always turns out perfect!

12 ounces medium-sized pasta shells
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (warmed)
1/2 cup half and half
1 cup freshly grated Cheddar cheese
4 slices American cheese ((such as Kraft Singles))
1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
½ teaspoon Kosher salt
½ teaspoon dry mustard powder

Steps:

  • In a large pot, bring pasta water to a boil and season heavily with salt. Add pasta and cook according to package directions. Drain well and set aside until ready to use.
  • In a medium-sized sauce-pan over medium heat, melt the butter and sprinkle over the flour. Whisk together and allow to cook for 2 minutes, taking care not to let it brown. Slowly, add the warmed cream a splash at time, whisking until smooth after each addition until it reaches a pudding-like consistency. At this point you may whisk in the remaining cream and half-and-half.
  • Raise the heat to medium-high and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat and add the cheddar a handful at a time, stirring after each addition until completely melted. Next, add the American cheese and stir until melted.
  • Add remaining ingredients and stir. Pour cheese sauce over pasta, stir to coat, serve and enjoy.

This is a delicious baked pasta dish with large shells filled with meat, spinach and cheese that children always seem to love. It is kind of a 'spaghetti that behaves itself!'

1 (16 ounce) package jumbo pasta shells
½ pound Italian sausage
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach - thawed, drained and squeezed dry
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg
3 cloves garlic, crushed
½ lemon, juiced
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
½ teaspoon dried oregano
2 cups spaghetti sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add shells and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and rinse in cold water.
  • Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain and crumble. In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage, spinach, ricotta cheese, egg, garlic, lemon juice and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt, pepper and oregano.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Stuff pasta shells with the sausage and cheese mixture and place in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the pasta is heated through and the cheese is melted.

Salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Bring water to boil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Stir in macaroni. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Drain.
  • While macaroni is cooking, brown ground meat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Other seasonings may be added as desired.
  • Add cooked ground meat to cooked macaroni. Stir in Velveeta cheese sauce.

1 large container ricotta cheese
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp ground nutmeg
Chopped parsley
1 package spinach
1 small package pine nuts (can sub walnuts, just use fewer, stronger taste)
1 tsp salt and pepper
Tomato sauce with garlic and onion

Steps:

  • Boil shells until soft. Mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, ground nutmeg, chopped parsley in large bowl. Blend spinach and pine nuts in food processor or blender. Add spinach and nuts to cheese mixture and stir.
  • Line bottom of baking dish with thin layer of tomato sauce. Fill shells with mixture and lay in a deep baking dish. Cover with tomato sauce.
  • Bake at 375°F for approx. 45 minutes.

The best pasta salad I've had! My mother-in-law's recipe, improved! This is always a hit when I have company over. It definitely tastes better the next day, and keeps well in the fridge! I vary the types of peppers I put in it (orange, yellow, red all add nice colors). I also use different cheeses, my favorite is smoked mozzarella.

2 cups uncooked small shell pasta
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked ham
1 cup cubed cheese
1/2 cup diced celery
1/3 cup green pepper
1 medium red onion, diced
1/4 cup relish, sweet or 1/4 cup dill
1 1/2 cups Miracle Whip
1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk

Steps:

  • First cook, drain, and cool the shells.
  • Add ham, cheese, peppers, celery, onion, and relish.
  • In a 2 cup measure, combine Miracle Whip, mustard, salt and milk (fill with milk to 2 cup line).
  • Whisk dressing ingredients and pour over pasta mix.
  • Chill and refrigerate. For best taste let set for at least 4 hours.

1 box Velveeta Shells and Cheese
1/2 can diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

Steps:

  • Cook hamburger.
  • While cooking hamburger, follow directions on Velveeta Shells and Cheese box: boil water, then add shells, drain add cheese sauce.
  • When burger is done, drain grease. Add hamburger and half can of drained tomatoes and green chilies to shells and cheese. Stir well. Dish it up and eat.

1 jar (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 Tbsp chili powder

Steps:

  • Make Shells & Cheese according to package instructions, set aside. Brown and drain ground beef. Add tomato sauce and chili powder to ground beef (use more or less chili powder to taste).
  • Pour beef mixture into 1 1/2 to 2 qt casserole dish. Make an indention (a lake) in the burger mixture and pour the prepared shells & cheese into it. (Do not mix the beef and pasta together, they will combine as you dip from the dish.)
  • Heat in microwave 2 minutes or until heated through. Serve.
