No Bake Energy Bites image

This No-Bake Energy Bites recipe is easy to make, full of feel-good ingredients, and irresistibly delicious!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup old-fashioned oats
2/3 cup toasted shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or vegan chocolate chips)
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Stir all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until thoroughly combined.
  • Cover the mixing bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until the mixture is chilled. (This will help the mixture stick together more easily.)
  • Roll into mixture into 1-inch balls.
  • Then enjoy immediately! Or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

With only five ingredients, Grandma's No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars are a nostalgic recipe and taste like the bars served in school cafeterias.

1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup creamy peanut butter
20 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter, set aside.
  • Place the rest of the butter (that you used to grease the pan with) along with the other stick of butter and place them into a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Continue to microwave in 15-second intervals until melted.
  • Into the bowl with the melted butter add the powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and peanut butter.
  • Stir until combined well.
  • Immediately spread peanut butter mixture into the greased baking dish and smooth it out. Place it in the freezer for 30 minutes to set.
  • While the peanut butter layer sets in the freezer, place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring each time until the chocolate is melted and smooth, do not overcook.
  • Spread the melted chocolate on top of the peanut butter mixture.
  • Place it back into the freezer until the chocolate is just set but not frozen, about 10-15 minutes. If they're totally frozen, it's too hard to cut into bars.
  • Cut immediately into squares and serve.

25 g rolled oats
1 g ground cinnamon
30 g wheat germ
70 g unsweetened apple juice concentrate

Steps:

  • Combine peanut butter, milk powder, and coconut in a large mixing bowl. Stir in oats, ground cinnamon, wheat germ, and apple juice concentrate until thoroughly combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls. Chill thoroughly before serving; store remaining nuggets in the refrigerator. Nuggets can also be chilled in the freezer.

3 cups miniature marshmallows
4 cups Life cereal
3/4 cup dry roasted peanuts

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan over low heat, melt peanut butter and butter. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until melted. Remove from the heat., Stir in the cereal and peanuts; mix well. Spread onto a greased baking sheet. Cool. Break into bite-size pieces. Chill for at least 1 hour. Store in the refrigerator.

¾ cup butter
¾ cup milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups peanut butter
4 ½ cups quick-cooking oats

Steps:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a rapid boil and boil for one full minute. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and peanut butter. Mix in the oats, stirring until the mixture begins to cool. Transfer to a large bowl if it does not fit into the pan well. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool until set.
